Day
of Defeat is a World War II multiplayer game driven by the Half-life engine.
DoD attempts to recreate WWII battles in both fictional and non-fictional
environments - the game puts you in the combat boots! of a British, American or
German soldier circa 1944, Western Europe. Day of Defeat is a class-based,
first-person shooter -- upon arrival in game, you will have the choice to play
different types of soldiers -- from Rifleman to Machinegunners, to Snipers.
Each class has its own mix of special abilities and weapons. The overall goal
of the game depends upon the map; whether it be to capture an area, defend a
beach, or simply destroy the enemy. The 15 maps included with Day of Defeat
will give players endless hours of replayability online. With a selection of
nearly 34 weapons, players will have something new to try every time they play.
So for now, grab your helmet and rifle and prepare for the most immersive WWII
game to date!

We formed DFH for many reasons, but the primary one, was to have
fun playing DOD. We all love playing computer games and DOD especially.
The online aspects of DOD has shown that there exists a lot of great friendly
people in the online gaming community. We want to have good clean fun.
Those playing on-line also play with the assumption that those who we play with
are as honest as us.
We also play paintball. The reason that is mentioned is that in paintball you
really rely on the integrity, honesty and sportsmanship of those you are
playing with. Playing paintball against people that cheat is not fun. Not fun
at all. We don't like cheaters on the opposing team and we do not want cheaters
on our team. It diminishes the win if you happen to win and it tarnishes their
victory if they have a cheater or cheat to win. We believe that it is the same
in playing DOD online.
To that end we have a list of rules but they can be distilled to just a few
words: Respect, Integrity, Sportsmanship.
That is why we do not cuss, call people cheaters, or cheat on our servers. And
if you are playing online even not on our server but have the DFH tag then we
expect you to follow our server rules as well as the server rules of the place
you are playing at.
We as a group of players, I believe, are highly regarded. Many people
have come to our group after a day of paintball and stated that they really
like playing with us. And the owner of the local field we play at tells all new
and veteran players that we are a great group to play with and against. That is
the kind of reputation we want for The DFH clan.
WE may not have the best players in the world, but we play fair and hard and at
the end of the day DFH players have fun.
There are plenty of Clans out there that only want players that have great
scores.
We of DFH want GREAT players.
